   The Penn State football team continued to add more support personnel on Friday. As first reported by On3, James Franklin and the Nittany Lions are adding Ball State assistant Vic Hall as a defensive analyst. In addition to being an all-around coach at the MAC level, Hall also excelled on the field, playing under current Penn State safeties coach Anthony Poindexter at Virginia.

On Friday, On3 reported that the Penn State football team has added Vic Hall to its staff as defensive coordinator. Hall is the latest in a series of changes to the defensive support staff since the hiring of new quarterback Tom Allen in December.

Vic Hall is third at Ball State, pulling double duty on both sides of the ball as defensive backs coach and tight ends coordinator. He also held the title of co-coordinator for two seasons. Before joining the Cardinals staff, Hall coached defensive backs at Hampton and Howard and was a graduate assistant at Western Illinois.

Vic Hall’s many coaching accomplishments came from his extensive collegiate career. Not only was Hall a cornerback and running back at Virginia, he was also a quarterback and wide receiver while in Charlottesville.
