Former Florida State defensive tackle Coach Thomas has been suspended by Colorado coach Deion Sanders for violating team rules. According to Buffs Beat, Thomas was suspended before the end of 2023.

Bishop Moore Catholic is listed among Florida State’s 2022 recruiting class. He decided to transfer to Colorado after the spring before spending his second season in Tallahassee.

Thomas’ 2024 status with the Buffaloes is “still under review,” as noted in Amazon Video’s “Coach Prime” articles.
During the Seminoles’ 2022 season, Thomas appeared in two games and had an assist against Boston College in a 44-14 win at Doak Campbell Stadium.

The 6-foot-2, 295-pounder appeared in nine games for the Buffaloes in 2023. He recorded six total tackles, including two for a loss. Statistically, his best game was the Buffaloes’ win over Arizona State, where Thomas recorded three tackles and a tackle for loss. He also appeared in attack as a full-back at short intervals.
As for Florida State’s defensive backroom, some key pieces will be missing this season, including Braden Fiske, Malcolm Ray and (waived) Dennis Briggs.

Defensive tackle includes six scholarship players, junior Darrell Jackson, redshirt senior Joshua Farmer, sophomore Daniel Lyons, freshman KJ Sampson, freshman Jamorie Flagg and Dand. 039; White nose Briggsand’s status is still up in the air, and Ray is looking at other options in the lobby.

Former FSU linebacker DJ Lundy, who transferred to Colorado, is the newest member of the program to join Sanders in Boulder. The Seminoles looked at Derrick McLendon, quarterback Brendan Gant, cornerback Travis Jay and Omarion Cooper before trading with the Buffaloes..
