   Depending on NFL splits and transfers, that number will increase once play begins. On Sunday afternoon, redshirt senior Akeem Dent announced on social media that he will enter the 2024 NFL Draft and will not participate in the game against the Georgia Bulldogs.

   He will focus on preparing for the next level after five seasons in Tallahassee. Despite a minor physical injury earlier in the year, Dent appeared in 10 games, making eight starts, totaling 44 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, two fumbles and one pass breakup. He recorded seven touchdowns for Florida State, a season-high in a season-ending win over Florida and a win over Louisville in the ACC Tournament.

   During his career with the Seminoles, Dent totaled 187 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, two touchdowns, 16 pass breakups and one interception. He signed with the program as a five-star under former coach Willie Taggart and stayed at Florida State when Mike Norvell arrived in Tallahassee. Most of all, I thank God for his constant encouragement and for giving me many blessings.
