No denying the horror involved, but a stalker incident is something almost all celebrities have gone through. And the most recent one to share a similar experience is former Charlotte Hornets star Rex Chapman. The 56-year-old had recently released a new memoir titled It’s Hard for Me to Live with Me. However, he shared a separate incident with a stalker not mentioned in the book on his social media account on ‘X’.

“I screamed and punched the guy right in the chest. Started yelling at him to get out of the room before I called the cops,” Rex recollected his experience with the stalker during his stay in a hotel. As per the post by Chapman, it all started with Rex’s mom becoming ‘pen pals’ with some of Rex’s fans who used to write to him at his parent’s address.
But little did she know that a particular fan would become a nightmare for Rex. The Kentucky Wildcats alumnus mentioned in his post that, as per his mom, one fan who used to write had been in a car accident and was paraplegic. “From Detroit. Let’s call him Tim. She would always tell me what Tim was up to and how he was doing,” read the post. It further mentioned the time Rex was on his first trip to Detroit to play the Pistons and was staying in a hotel.
I’m sitting there eating my lunch when I heard a knock at the door. I went to the door and nobody was there… Tuned off the tv after the show… Heard another bang out in the hallway… Opened the door again — and nothing… On the way back to the bed I randomly opened the closet door — AND THERE WAS TIM — NOT IN A WHEELCHAIR,” Rex recollected the horror of the incident in his post.
This was when Rex Chapman attacked the stalker, who then fled while wanting a chance for an explanation. However, this is not the only incident of Chapman getting into trouble with a stalker.
