Class of 2025 five-star wide receiver target Jaime Ffrench Jr. trending to the Florida State Seminoles?

SU football has already experienced many high-caliber prospects arriving in Tallahassee for this past Saturday’s Junior Day event.

The Seminoles are continuing to develop relationships with prospects in the 2025 recruiting cycle. The coaching staff is already off to a great start where they rank 12th in the 247Sports Composite rankings with four commitments such as five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., four-star defensive end Javion Hilson, and four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard.

However, there is still a way to go before Florida State is finished with constructing its recruiting class. As I alluded to in a previous article, there were three prospects that I was monitoring as we headed into the Junior Day event.

One notable prospect was Class of 2025 five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench Jr. from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville (FL). The talented playmaker recently de-committed from the Alabama Crimson Tide after legendary head football coach Nick Saban announced that he would be retiring.

The five-star pass catcher is a high school teammate with current Florida State three-star quarterback commit Tramell Jones Jr. After signing the extension to stay put in Tallahassee, head football coach Mike Norvell made it a priority to go down to Mandarin High School in Jacksonville (FL) and build a relationship with Jones Jr. and Ffrench Jr.

On Saturday afternoon, after Ffrench Jr.’s visit concluded, Warchant’s Matt LaSerre put in an expert prediction in favor of Florida State.

If Florida State wide receivers coach Ron Dugans finds a way to pull off acquiring two five-star prospects in the last two recruiting cycles, that would be absolutely massive for the development of the position room for years to come.

Before committing to Crimson Tide, Ffrench Jr. thought highly of the Florida State Seminoles. Could this be a recruitment that the Seminoles could circle back to and earn his pledge?
