The ESPN analyst won’t let anyone forgets about Florida State’s snub

ESPN’s Booger McFarland takes a step back to defend Florida State this season after its national championship. Michigan is No. However, others, including McFarland, were quick to point out Michigan quarterback JJ McCarthy’s disappointing stat line. He was 10-of-18 for 140 yards without a touchdown.

   We didn’t have anything against JJ, but JJ threw two or three strikes last night because he dominated [the hitting line] and defended well.    When FSU was eliminated from the College Football Playoff (CFP), the reason for the elimination was quarterback Tate Rodemaker’s string play. Third baseman Brock Glenn was unable to compete in the highest level since Jordan Travis left with a season-ending injury.

Rodemaker – Had the Seminoles made it to the CFP, they likely would have returned to the playoffs, going 12-for-25 for 134 without a touchdown against UF in Gainesville.
Booger McFarland has been one of Florida State’s biggest cheerleaders since Selection Sunday. In early December, the Super Bowl champion said the CFP Board’s decision was based on projections, not past results.

   “I think we have a problem, the problem is this. We are in this room deciding what happens on the floor. McFarland said.
And for me, I’ve always been an exhibitionist. I would say playing on the grass, between the white lines. Regardless of what we think, how many times have we been surprised? By race group? McFarland asked.
