Browns QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson goes on injured reserve. Cleveland Browns rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson was placed on injured reserve. DTR will miss the rest of the season with a hip injury.

   Brown Cleveland Dorian Thompson-Robinson had one of the most exciting rookie seasons a quarterback could have. On Tuesday, the team announced that he would also be placed on injured reserve. Thompson-Robinson injured his hip while doing laundry on Sunday and missed the win against the Houston Texans.

   The injury was enough to end his first year, and there were a lot of changes and changes. As a rookie, he started the season hot, making four starts in the preseason. He started the NFL preseason and had a strong comeback in the Hall of Fame game last August. From there, he took over the backup role for Deshaun Watson. Thompson-Robinson got a chance in Week 4 when Watson was scratched in the final minute and DTR started against the AFC Top Seed Baltimore Ravens.

   He then returned to the bench and took up a full-back position behind PJ Walker. He remained in that role until the end of Watson’s season and the DTR began competing with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Thompson-Robinson, who led the team to a surprise victory, started the following week at Denver, but left the game with a concussion.

   From there, Joe Flacco took over as the starting quarterback, but Kevin Stefanski kept some baskets there for Thompson-Robinson. He was productive when called up before Sunday’s win over Houston with a hip injury.

   Thompson-Robinson had a 1-2 record, 440 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions. If the Browns get that far, the fastest they can play for is the AFC Championship.
