Big Dom” Decision: NFL announces punishment for Eagles security chief

Big Dom’ Decision: NFL Announces Punishment For Eagles Head of Securty

Philadelphia Eagles head of security Dom DiSandro — aka Big Dom — is barred from being on the sideline for this weekend’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

This isn’t an official suspension, rather a place-holder punishment as the NFL continues to review additional material from last weekend’s sideline conflict against the 49ers.

DiSandro is still allowed to travel with the team to Dallas and do his regular duties away from the sideline.
DiSandro was involved in a sideline fracas with San Francisco linebacker Dre Greenlaw this past Sunday. ‘Big Dom’ put his hands on Greenlaw after he was given an unnecessary roughness penalty for a late hit on DeVonta Smith. Greenlaw then made contact with DiSandro’s face, and both were ejected from the game.

The NFL sent a stern memo to all 32 teams after this incident.

“(NFL policies) clearly prohibit non-player personnel — coaches, trainers, equipment staff, security staff, or others — from making physical contact with, taunting, or directing abusive or insulting language toward opposing players, game officials, or others involved in a game,” the memo said.

DiSandro and the Eagles met with commissioner Roger Goodell on Friday.
