Wisdom:JUCO OT Issiah Walker commits to Colorado
Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes will look to secure the offensive line next season and got a step in the right direction with a commitment from a JUCO monster.
Butler Community College offensive tackle Issiah Walker Jr. made it official on Monday and said he would be Boulder bound. The 6-foot-5, 290-pound native of Miami, Fla. has bounced around since 2019.
Walker was noted as a four-star recruit and ESPN Top 300 prospect coming out of Norland HS in Miami. He originally committed to Florida before moving down to Butler. He held offers from Memphis, Syracuse and Houston. Colorado was on Walker’s radar since April.
“For me the biggest thing I look at in a school is the family atmosphere that’s being established and Colorado has it,” Walker told 247Sports. “When Coach Prime first got there that’s what he instilled there. I also feel as if I would grow there under the O-line coach (Bill O’Boyle) who actually coached my O-line coach here at JUCO and they both are just alike in their same styles of coaching.”
Walker comes to Colorado with two years of eligibility remaining. He plans to enroll in December.
