Shohei Ohtani arrived in Japan after cleaning out his locker in the Angels locker room, coming off an injury that kept him out. 

   Where Ohtani will land when he becomes a free agent is a hot topic and theories abound, but some point to Boston. Shohei Ohtani is now in Japan Regardless of his injury situation, Ohtani could be the most coveted free agent the league has ever seen when his contract expires this fall. No one knows if Ohtani wants to stay in LA or look for greener pastures.

But according to Peter Gammons, Ohtani could soon be on his way to Boston. Reporter Pete Gammons has covered baseball for over 50 years, so his reporting is not salty. Boston is one of the largest markets in the country and the Red Sox are one of MLB’s most successful franchises.

Although Shohei insisted he stay in Los Angeles, Ohtani began saying goodbye this week and in an unexpected turn of events, he left for his homeland. Many believe he will recover and be ready for next season.
