POSITIVES

— Good size with above-average arm length.

— Gets his hands up quickly and has the strength to get extension on blocks as a run defender.

— Good block recognition as a run defender.

— Solid versus double-teams. Attacks the man he’s lined up across from and is decent at absorbing contact.

— Solid arm-over move to catch offensive linemen leaning.

NEGATIVES

— Slow get-off, often false-steps.

— Stiff and not explosive.

— Limited athletically, which makes him a non-factor as a pass-rusher. Was often taken out in pass-rush situations.

— Lack of lateral movement skills will lead to him getting reached or scooped.

— Struggles to disengage from blocks. Isn’t a violent shedder.

OVERALL

Zion Logue is a fifth-year senior who didn’t become a consistent starter until this past season on Georgia’s defensive line. That led to some underwhelming production in college, but he does have good size and is a solid run defender who could make a roster for a team that needs a two-gapping defensive lineman.

However, Logue lacks NFL athleticism and movement skills to make an impact in the passing game and become a dominant or disruptive run defender.

GRADE: 5.2 (Backup/UDFA with Roster Potential — UDFA)
