On Thursday night, Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky stunned the New York Liberty with a 90-81 win. The Sky moved to 2-1 on the season and the Liberty suffered their first loss, falling 4-1.
The former LSU Tiger was a key factor in the win, scoring 13 points on 30% shooting to go along with nine rebounds, an assist and a steal. Reese also helped shut down former MVP Breanna Stewart with her incredible defense.
After the game, Reese took to social media to express her strong displeasure with ESPN’s original WNBA rankings. The Chicago Sky were at the bottom of the standings, but Reese took issue with that assessment, especially after the team’s strong performance earlier in the season.
