A friend of golf legend Tiger Woods apparently said Wednesday that the champion is abstaining from sex ahead of The Masters tournament in April.
The unnamed “friend” spoke with the New York Post, claiming that Woods is “focused,” and is “working really hard in the gym. He’s eating right. He’s even eliminated sex,” ahead of the 2024 Masters Tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club, Georgia.
“He does that now when he’s preparing: no sex until the tournament is over. He doesn’t want anything to take away his focus,” the friend added.

The friend noted that apparently Woods isn’t dating anyone specific right now, having gone through a tough breakup in 2023 from his girlfriend of six years, Erica Herman, the NY Post added. Herman attempted to sue Woods after their breakup, claiming a non-disclosure agreement she signed as part of the relationship violated the Speak Out Act. The suit was later dropped.

Abstaining from sex ahead of a major sporting event isn’t anything new. In 2010, former England soccer manager Fabio Capello banned all of his players from having sex before their games in the World Cup, the NY Post noted. (RELATED: Here’s How Tiger Woods Became A Billionaire
