The fans head to UCLA looking for an upset win What a difference a week makes! Colorado went into their game against Stanford thinking they were bowl breakers.
They are now looking at five straight games where they are likely underdogs. It will certainly be a big challenge for the Buffs in a league that is top to bottom. Pac-12 Power Rankings
No. 1 Washington (7-0): Mishael Powell’s 89-yard pick-six keeps the Huskies on top of the series. The Pac-12, which just a few weeks ago looked like the strongest conference in the country, may now be just another potential playoff contender. And that team narrowly beat Arizona State!
No. 2 Oregon State (6-1): The Beavers travel to Arizona and then Colorado in the next two weeks. Three right after the loss to Washington State. Certainly a team that believes it can win the last Pac-12 title. Well.
No.3 Utah (6-1): Impressive win at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum! Kyle Whittingham with another masterful training performance. Injuries have destroyed this team and it continues to win. I am shocked.
No. 4 Oregon (6-1): Nice comeback win over Washington State. Bo Nix is now up to 19 touchdowns and just 1 interception on the year. Then, a trip to Utah.
No. 5 USC (6-2): Two straight losses and the Trojans have fallen away from top-25 title contenders. USC travels to Cal this Saturday.
No. 6 UCLA (5-2): The Bruins beat the Cardinals 42-7. Carson Steele scored three passing touchdowns in the win. Unlike Colorado the week before, they built a big lead and never gave up against Stanford.
No. 7 Arizona (4-3): The Wildcats now have a legitimate shot at a bowl game. With three home games and road contests at Arizona State and Colorado, six wins seems very much within reach.
No. 8 Washington State (4-3): What happened to this team? The 4-0-4-3 Cougars must get it together. Fortunately for them, they face a bottom four team before facing Washington.
No. 9 Colorado (4-3): Coach Prime told his team this week that they have to steal the game back. They know they lost one at Stanford and had to win. Colorado will have a chance to redeem themselves when they take part in a sold-out Rose Bowl on Saturday.
No. 10 Cal (3-4): Head coach Justin Wilcox could really benefit from a signature win. They’ve been close with good opponents, and this could be the perfect time to catch a frustrated USC team. Wilcox is 33-40 as Bears coach with just two stints. For that to change, they need to upset some teams.
No. 11 Arizona State (1-6): Kenny Dillingham’s team gave it their all against Washington, it just wasn’t enough. In the end, going through the chip shot and turning it into a six the other way was just crazy. No. 12 Stanford (2-5): With this team at 2-10, the Colorado matchup seems even more tragic for Buffs fans.
