Who is Max Homa’s wife? Masters contender met gorgeous partner online.
Masters contender Max Homa has his wife, Lacey, and son, Cam Andrew, watching at Augusta National as the US Ryder Cup star has the chance to win his first major
Max Homa has his wife Lacey and son Cam Andrew at the Masters as the US Ryder Cup star sits in a tie for the halfway lead through two rounds. The world No. 11 is joined by Bryson DeChambeau and Scottie Scheffler on six-under heading into the crucial weekend’s action
Homa, 33, has yet to win a major in 17 starts despite sharing six PGA Tour successes over the last five years with wife Lacey. Their son was also present for the most recent title at last year’s Farmers Insurance Open before turning three months old.
The couple will celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary in November and dated for six years before tying the knot. They met online over a decade ago in 2013, the same year Homa turned pro and first played at the Masters.
After missing the cut as a debutant, it would take another seven years before the American was back at Augusta National. It then took another two to make the cut for the first time.
After finishing in ties for 48th and 43rd over the past two tournaments, Homa is in position for, at the very least, a career-best placing this weekend. Earlier in the week, Lacey spoke about what even being at Augusta means to him and the family.
We’re just so grateful to be here. Anytime you can come here, it’s a good thing,” Homa’s wife said in a video published on The Masters’ YouTube channel.
“You feel like everybody is just excited. It’s contagious, and I love being around it.”
Lacey added: “I pinch myself all the time to make sure that it’s real. We have been together for ten years, and these were things that he would tell me and tell me all of his dreams and goals.
And to watch him, check them off. There’s just so much pride. I don’t even know how to put it in words when you see the person that you love the most just crushing it.”
She also stressed the importance of bringing their son along for the ride. “It’s important to me to bring along our baby because even though he’s too young to remember it, I just love for him to experience new places and cultures and different types of people. And I just think that’s a really important thing.
So even though it is a little bit more challenging to bring him and sometimes a little bit more stressful, it’s so rewarding and it’s awesome. We get to see the progression of our life evolve, and it’s so special.”
Homa also shared his perspective on having his wife and son with him for the Par 3 contest. “We did it last year,” he recalled afterwards. “[Cam’s] not gonna remember either, but we’re gonna remember them forever.
“He’s getting close to walking, so it’s fun to have him practising some steps out Augusta National
