Vikings Make Two Additions to Kevin O’Connell’s 2024 Coaching Staff
The Vikings have made two additions to Kevin O’Connell’s 2024 coaching staff, the team announced on Friday. Shaun Sarrett has been hired as their assistant offensive line coach and Henry Schneider IV has been hired as their assistant to the head coach.
Sarrett replaces Justin Rascati, who was hired by the Bengals as their pass game coordinator earlier this offseason. Sarrett was the Chargers’ assistant offensive line coach over the past three years, where he worked with Pro Bowl players like Corey Linsley and Rashawn Slater. The 44-year-old previously spent nine years with the Steelers, including a couple seasons as their offensive line coach (2019-20). He’s a West Virginia native.

Schneider, whose new title is an interesting one, was with the Raiders for the past five years, working in football operations and coaching operations. Before that, he was an intern or assistant in football ops with the Seahawks and Dolphins. He got his Master’s Degree in Sport Management from the University of Alabama in 2016. Schneider also served as a student manager for the Alabama football program during his undergrad years.
