Minnesota Vikings Danielle Hunter is set for free agency after her 16.5 sack season in 2023 for the first time in her career.
The Vikings may try to land Hunter before he hits free agency in March. But if they can’t agree on an extension, the Vikings will lose Hunter, even if they could trade him in November.
The Nov. 1 trade deadline came just days after Kirk Cousins suffered a season-ending Achilles injury that left the Vikings struggling to reach the Super Bowl.
Hunter was highly sought after at the deadline and received a trade offer from the Vikings at the deadline.
SKOR North’s Judd Zulgad argued that general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has made no move to take equity in a contract that includes Hunter if he leaves Minnesota in March.
Zulgad commented on the previous February 2nd post. “Well, I think it’s a big deal if Daniel Hunter walks free.
