VIDEO: Wolves coach Chris Finch tears patellar tendon on the sidelines after crash with Mike Conley
The Minnesota Timberwolves are the first team to advance to the second round of the Playoffs after sweeping the Phoenix Suns on their home floor. However, Sunday’s victory wasn’t all good vibes and celebrations for them, as their head coach, Chris Finch, suffered a brutal knee injury in the fourth quarter of the game.
It happened after Mike Conley Jr. and Devin Booker scrambled over a broken play, which led the Wolves point guard to crash into Finch’s knees.
This is unfortunate news for the Wolves because Finch will have to address his injury with surgery. While it has yet to be determined whether or not Chris will be on the sidelines for the rest of the playoffs, what’s clear is that he’s going to be physically limited.
After the game, the veteran head coach was seen on crutches in the locker room, with his team huddled around him.
