Tiger Woods carded a total of eight bogeys, with five of them coming off the second nine, and also scored two double bogeys at the par-4, Pampas (No.7) and par-5, Yellow Jasmine (No.8). What’s more, the pro also managed to dish out two birdies, one which he did so at the par-4, Magnolia (No.5) and the second which came at the par-5, Azalea (No.13).
Meanwhile, after Friday, the legend scripted history by becoming the first player in the sport to make 24 consecutive cuts at the Masters. Unfortunately, advancing through a not-so-simple terrain at the Augusta for two days, with him playing a total of 23 rounds on the second day alone (remaining the 1st round and the second round), did not bide well, it seems for the golfer, seeing as to how he struggled on Saturday.
Moreover, Woods was spotted with a pain patch attached to his lower spine and torso. That’s not all. Along with the adhesive pain-relief measure on his body, the golfer was also seen applying icy hot to his body, all the while throwing concern over his health during the second round of the major championship. Consequently, all of these built up and the golfer could only end his third day with his worst-ever Masters score.

Tiger Woods’s 82 writes its own history at the majors
Just a day before what will be another milestone in his career, i.e., a 100th round at the Masters, the American pro ended up registering his worst score ever in not just the Masters but in his major career. Also, apart from the recent display, Woods has only gone over 80 a total of two times, the first in the 3rd round of the 2002 Open Championship, with the second coming off at the first round of the 2015 U.S. Open.

However, surprisingly, back in the 2002 Open Championship, he shocked everyone by scoring a 6-under 65 in the fourth round to tie with seven others at T28. Although the finish wouldn’t have been the one he hoped for, it was nevertheless, better than what was projected after Saturday’s play. Thus, hopefully, if he is ready as declared in the presser, Tiger Woods can surely aim for a better place on the scorecard for his historic 100th round at the Masters!
