Simone Biles shared a profane message via social media in response to people who have been criticizing her husband Jonathan Owens.
Owens cheered on Biles at the U.S. Classic gymnastics event in Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday. Some may have been mocking Owens for being Biles’ cheerleader at the event.Whatever the reason, Biles had had enough of the criticism and wrote a strong message on Instagram Sunday.
“I’m going to quickly address this, the joke was never a joke! Y’all are blatantly being disrespectful to my relationship and my husband. So I’m gonna go ahead and say this one time. Respectfully, f— off,” Biles wrote (edited by LBS for profanity).
“If you keep commenting or tweeting at me I’m just going to block you. simple (sic) as that,” she added. “And no I don’t need to touch grass or whatever tf y’all suggest…”
Some of the jokes have called Owens “Mr. Biles” since she is more famous and he supports her at events. Some fans of Biles have also had it out for Owens ever since he labeled himself “the catch” in their relationship during an interview last month.
Whatever the case, it’s clear all the messages are getting to Biles and have annoyed her enough to the point that she wrote this profane message.
Owens is an NFL player and entering his second season with the Packers after spending four seasons with the Houston Texans. He is an elite athlete, but it’s hard to compare that to being the best in the world at something, which Biles is.
