Luke Littler and Eloise Milburn split up in July after dating for several months.
Romance speculations; Luke Littler’s ex-girlfriend Eloise Milburn posts first update since split from darts star.
Luke Littler’s former girlfriend has posted on Instagram for the first time since they broke up earlier this year. Eloise Milburn was regularly seen alongside Littler at events following his rapid rise to fame but the Premier League champion announced they had separated in July.
The couple started dating before Littler emerged as a household name following his run to the World Darts Championship final. Milburn attended several tournaments in support of her former boyfriend and accompanied him and his family on a trip to New York in May.
Littler announced they had broken up a month later, with The Sun reporting they struggled to make time for each other due to his hectic schedule. While the darts sensation has very much remained in the limelight, Milburn has taken a back seat from public life.
On Tuesday, she posted her first update since their split was confirmed by taking to Instagram to share a collection of photos with her friends. Milburn, who was seen smiling and enjoying life alongside her close pals, captioned the post: “Recently.”
Shortly after splitting up, Littler took to social media to defend his former girlfriend after she was targeted by online trolls.
“Everyone needs to stop sending hate towards Eloise saying it’s her fault, this and that,” he wrote. “I myself split up with Eloise and everyone just needs to give us some time, no need for everyone to message her and give her grief.”
Littler and Milburn met each other at a darts event in August last year, with their friendship quickly blossoming into romance. Milburn is four years older than Littler, with their age gap making headlines when their relationship came to light earlier this year.
Last weekend, Littler had an emotional moment on stage after losing to Peter Wright in the final of the German Darts Championship. The 17-year-old ended up on the wrong side of an 8-5 defeat, having led 5-2 at one point before Wright won six consecutive legs.
He welled up during his post-match interview as he sent a poignant message to one of his childhood friends, Ellis, who recently lost his father.
Littler congratulated Wright on his victory before leaving the stage in tears, saying: “Fair play to Peter, he’s played well all weekend and so have I. I’ve got to take it on the chin. I have got to give a massive shout out to my friend Ellis. He lost his dad. I’ve known him since I was three or four.”
