Report 😔:Masters 2024 results, highlights: Scottie Scheffler leads field heading into final day at Augusta
Moving day at the 2024 Masters did not disappoint, with plenty of changes atop the leaderboard. However, after all of the shuffling, it’s a familiar face leading the field after three days of action.
Round 3 at Augusta National was an entertaining one that saw multiple golfers either share possession of first place or were solely in first at some point. At the end of the day, it’s Scottie Scheffler who has the lead heading into the final round.
Scheffler entered Saturday in a three-way tie with Bryson DeChambeau and Max Homa at 6 under par. A birdie on the 18th hole helped the 2022 Masters champion finish 1 under par for Round 3, allowing him to pull away from a tie with Collin Morikawa.
Morikawa’s steady rise to the top continued with a strong showing in Round 3. The 27-year-old from California had one of the best rounds of the day, shooting 3 under to enter Sunday at 6 under. Only Chris Kirk (4 under) had a better showing on Saturday.
Scheffler and Morikawa have plenty of company at the top with just 18 holes remaining at the Masters. Homa is in third place at 5 under, Ludvig Aberg sits in fourth at 4 under and DeChambeau is fifth at 3 under. It’s setting up for what should be a dramatic finish at Augusta for the 2024 major.
