Buffalo Bills Tre’Davious White looks at the video display screen showing the play as his team takes on the Cincinnati Bengals at home in Orchard Park on Jan. 22. The Bills lost 27-10 in their playoff game.
The Los Angeles Rams have had a busy free agency period thus far, bringing in Jonah Jackson to finalize their 2024 offensive line and reuniting with cornerback Darious Williams, among other moves. But the Rams offseason is just beginning, as they have made it clear they want to be aggressive with their resources this offseason. And one intriguing option is Buffalo Bills All-Pro cornerback Tre’Davious White.
White, 29, was one of the best defensive backs in all of football from 2017-20. He made two All-Pro teams and Pro Bowls in that span and finished second in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting in 2017. But injuries have plagued White and limited him to 10 games over the last two seasons. A torn Achilles cut his 2023 season short after only four games.
Now, White is a free agent and it seems a departure from Buffalo is likely after being cut. The Rams, still in need to secondary depth, are one of the teams reportedly slated to meet with White this week as he chooses a new home, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network:
Former #Bills All-Pro and Pro Bowl CB Tre’Davious White has visits scheduled with the #Rams and #Raiders this week, with a few more teams showing interest as well, sources say. White, cut by Buffalo earlier this month, is working his way back from a torn Achilles. The Rams and Las Vegas Raiders would both be improved in the secondary by the addition of White. Injuries are, of course, a concern, but there is no denying his all-world talent when he’s healthy. He had 54 pass deflections and 15 interceptions between 2017 and 2020, including a league-leading six in 201
Williams and Derion Kendrick are currently the starting corners for the Rams, and White — when healthy — would easily supplant either as the No. 1 CB.
