Michael van Gerwen has secured his place in the playoffs during the fifteenth round of play in round 15 of the Premier League darts team. Beforehand, Luke Littler and Luke Humphries confirmed their places for the final night.
Van Gerwen reached the final in Leeds on the night of Xovestra after beating Gerwyn Price (6-3) and Luke Littler (6-1). In the final he lost to Luke Humris (6-5). ‘Cool Hand Luke’ is confident of second place this season, with little chance of taking first place. Humphries needs to win the final round next Thursday and hopes Littler doesn’t score.
The last place in the playoff goes to Michael Smith or Nathan Aspinall. They will meet again in the final round. The winner of that match gets a ticket to the final night.
