LIV Golf has revealed that a league record-breaking attendance turned out for this weekâs event in Australia.
More than 94,000 fans poured through the gates of the Grange Golf Club in Adelaide, comfortably eclipsing the previous record set at last yearâs event.
Over 40% of ticket buyers were from out of state with briefs reportedly purchased by fans from more than 30 different countries.
There was plenty for Aussie fans to support, too, with Ripper GC â captained by former Open champion Cam Smith â winning the team honours. Brendan Steele claimed the individual title.
LIV Golf Commissioner and CEO Greg Norman described himself as âextremely proudâ with how the event was received by his compatriots.

âIn our leagueâs short history, LIV Golf Adelaide has become a âcanât missâ event on Australiaâs calendar of major international sporting events and this week, we raised the bar once again,â said Norman.
âI want to thank the Australian fans and those who travelled afar to be in Adelaide. For decades, I was blessed to play in front of so many who supported Australian golf and now, by bringing LIV Golf to Australia, the country has clearly embraced our league and what it represents: team golf â a new and needed product that is delivering for the sportâs future.
âThank you, Adelaide, Australia, and all those who played a part in this tremendous week.â

Ripper GC captain Smith added: âThis week has far exceeded my vision for what was ahead. I think I always knew internally that Australia would really embrace LIV with the culture, with the music, with the entertainment, everything that goes on around it.
âI always felt like this was the place where it was going to make it big, and how itâs been the last couple of years has been just insane.
âLast year I said â and Iâm biased â this is the best tournament Iâve ever played. I think this year itâs done it again.â
