Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, the commissioner of lands and physical planning, and Alhaji Yusuf Imam, the special adviser on youths and sports, have been fired by the Kano State Government for allegedly making careless remarks that were disrespectful to the judiciary and vice president Kashim Shettima.
On Friday evening in Kano, the Commissioner of Information, Alhaji Baba Halilu Dantiye, revealed this during an emergency media briefing.
“The commissioner and Special Adviser on Youths, Aliyu Yusuf Imam, have been terminated from their positions with immediate effect as a result of their misguided remarks.
The vice president and the judiciary are respected by the Kano State government, so no government official should discuss anything that is not related to his ministry or parastatals, according to Dantiye.
