Visa Cash App RB star Daniel Ricciardo’s chances of staying in Formula 1 look strong following revelations about the Australian’s future.
Ricciardo is currently out of contract at the end of 2024 and so far there has been no news of a new deal.
While some teams exit deals later than others, Ricciardo’s teammate Yuki Tsunoda’s recent contract extension with RB has raised eyebrows about the Australian’s future.

Despite some of his recent struggles, Ricciardo still looks to have a good chance of keeping his place for 2025 if he can prove his worth. Here’s what journalist Lawrence Barretto has to say about the recent revelation.
In a recent article, Barretto revealed that although he has yet to sign a new contract, Ricciardo’s position in the wider Red Bull family remains strong. “I understand that he [Ricciardo] retains the support of several top Red Bull personnel,” Barretto wrote on Formula1.com.

“Although it is believed that his immediate boss Laurent Mekies wants to give him as much time as possible to show that he deserves to stay in the team,” added Barretto . . The longer Ricciardo is allowed to impress, the more he can look to improve his performance and after some decent performances recently, things seem to be heading in the right direction for the Australian.Ricciardo is in the points in two of the last four GPs and, more importantly, has finished ahead of teammate Tsunoda in three of those four races.
