Sanders’ comments come as his two sons, Shedeur and running back Shiloh, play their final years of college football and hope to enter the NFL draft next spring.

“I’ll tell you the truth,” Sanders said. “I say I’m a father, not a baby daddy. I don’t follow the kids. I pave the way for the kids. I create a legacy for the kids. I take my children. I don’t follow my children. So I have no intention of having my kids in the NFL. There’s work here.”
Sanders added, “I really like it here. You’d never think a southern guy would do well in this part of the country, but I’ll be very successful. That’s how I feel.”
One of the reasons Sanders said he wants to stay in Colorado is because he sees the program making strides to attract top talent.
