“Jon Rahm expressed his disappointment by revealing that PGA Tour players did not acknowledge his presence during his first encounter with them at Augusta after becoming a part of LIV Golf.

During an interview with Golf Channel Latin America, Jon Rahm shared that a PGA Tour star avoided making eye contact with him at The Masters.

29-year-old Rahm, a superstar in the world of LIV Golf, placed a disappointing T45 with a score of 9-over par as he defended his title at Augusta National on Sunday.    He ended up 20 shots behind Scottie Scheffler, who is the World No.1 and has won Masters twice.

Rahm, being the previous champion, was responsible for awarding Scheffler with the green jacket.

Rahm expressed difficulty in accomplishing that task.

Rahm surprised everyone by deciding to leave the PGA Tour for the Saudi-funded LIV Golf League in a deal worth $600 million over five years at the end of 2023.

That call has not sat well with a number of players on the PGA Tour, in particular one player as Rahm discussed in an interview with Hugo Costa of Golf Channel Latin America.

When pressed on whether any PGA Tour players came over to see him on the range or in the locker room, Rahm said:

“Some did. I expected it.

“Then there was someone else who I expected to be a little tougher… and one of them hugged me.

“I think that, among all the relationships I have, it has been everything that I expected. My friends are still my friends.

“Then someone, with whom I was very cordial and had a positive relationship, has not even looked at me.

“If someone changes their opinion of me, it is more their problem than mine. I am not worried.

“I knew it was going to happen. I didn’t know who.”

So which PGA Tour star has got beef with Rahm exactly?

Well, according to Golf Channel’s Costa, it’s either Patrick Cantlay or Max Homa.

Cantlay, one of the PGA Tour player directors for 2024, finished T22 at The Masters, while Homa finished a very respectable T3
