FSU Coach cry out for the challenges his facing

Florida State continues to battle CFP cancellation woes, coach says. These are the hardest weeks of training I’ve ever had.

That’s what Florida State coach Mike Norvell has done the past two weeks since the Seminoles were eliminated from the College Football Playoff despite a 13-0 record. Norvell said he spoke with the team shortly after the College Football Playoff committee decided Dec. 3 to move FSU from fourth to fifth in the final rankings. Next up are Texas and Alabama.

While on the road recruiting, he sent several text messages to players. He said many Seminoles players still struggle with the reality that an undefeated season isn’t enough to sway the committee. You have to learn to overcome everything depression, pain, sadness, anger for the 18- to 22-year-old children and their 42-year-old teacher. Norvell said Tuesday. It’s hard But in the end, you control what you can control. We did everything we had to do to get 13 wins this season.

Florida State entered the CFP with a top-four finish for most of the season, but after quarterback Jordan Travis went down with a season-ending foot injury in Week 13 against North Alabama, the offense struggled to recover with just 40 points.

The season ended with wins over Florida and Louisville. Seminoles The two-game winning percentage is better than Alabama or Washington, and the margin of victory is better than Michigan in the same division. However, the committee determined the difficulties of the passing game.

FSU started sophomore quarterback Tate Rodemaker against Florida and No. 3 quarterback Brock Glenn in the ACC title game while Rodemaker was in concussion protocol. This was a sign that the Seminoles could not. The store won. And”They are a different team this season without Jordan Travis and the offensive energy he brings. Committee Chairman Boo Corrigan said: Florida State begins practice this week on Dec. 30 against Georgia in the Capital One Orange Bowl (4 p.m. ET, ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN App). Players from both teams.

Trey Benson, wide receiver Johnny Wilson, defensive end Fabien Lovett, tight end Jaheim Bell and defensive end Jared Verse announced they will skip the bowl game to prepare for the NFL Draft and many other contributors to the transition portal. The fates of linebacker Braden Fiske, receiver Keon Coleman and other recruits are unclear, but Norvell said Tuesday he is still following up with them. Who plays and who doesn’t. Still, Norvell said bowl preparation is an opportunity for Florida State to move forward.

Despite being ignored by the match committee, this is their chance to finish the season undefeated and look to the future. We have a chance to be better andquot; Nobel said: Just because it sounds good doesn’t mean it’s good. This is our truth, so that we can win and be better.”

Norvell said recruiting on the road immediately after the draft closed, with players facing a lot of criticism on social media. They did a lot to them,  said Norvell said he hopes the experiences of the past few weeks will be a good lesson for players to better navigate the other challenges ahead. Norvell didn’t exactly criticize the committee, saying “I wasn’t in the room, and it wasn’t what I wanted.” But he added that he won’t let that take away from what he believes is a competitive season. And it’s one thing we didn’t feel like we had a chance at, but I’m proud of who this team is and what we’ve represented through 13 weeks of the season.

Nobel said: I will never forget the feelings it gave me, and I hope these people will not either. But that’s not to diminish what these guys have done throughout the year.
