Horner teases ROAD’s RB star amid Perez pressure
Christian Horner could not rule out promoting one of the RB drivers from Visa Cash App amid pressure around Red Bull star Sergio Perez.
The Mexican driver enjoyed a strong start to the season. He was regularly on the podium in the 2024 qualifiers and supported his teammate Max Verstappen.
However, Perez’s form has dipped and he has now collected just 15 points from his last six races, with some terrible qualifying times behind his heat time.
Perez recently signed a new contract with Red Bull that will keep him at the team until at least the end of 2025, but Horner and Red Bull are questioning the decision.

Japanese rider Tsunoda recently hinted that he is ready to take the next step in his career, currently in his fourth season with the Faenza-based outfit. After the British GP, Horner spoke to the media about the possibility of giving Tsunoda a chance with the main team. “You can never rule anything out,” he said.
We have options for him for several years because we believe he is talented. “He is a Red Bull Racing driver. He has a contract with Red Bull Racing. You never know. Maybe one day he will get a test. You never know. “I think Yuki is doing a good job,” Horner said. “He got another point, he’s putting the weekends together and he’s doing a good job.
