The Englishman took a shot at Jason Day’s outfit with a swift takedown on X.
Jason Day’s recent golf outfits have caused quite a stir both online and on the course, with his latest getup even catching the attention of two-time DP World Tour winner Eddie Pepperell.
Day, 36, made a significant move at the start of the season, signing a deal with LA-based golf and lifestyle brand Malbon. This marked the end of his long-term relationship with Nike, a change that hasn’t gone unnoticed in the golf world.
Since then, the Australian has worn some eye-catching outfits, including a sweater vest that famously enraged the organisers at Augusta National.
From baggy trousers to old-school button-up shirts, the brand has kitted day out in some of the most unique garments we’ve seen on the PGA Tour in quite some time.
It’s fair to say a couple of his outfits have been somewhat Marmite, with plenty of golf fans enjoying the alternative choices while others absolutely hate them.
One of those haters this week has been none other than notorious X user Pepperell.
Day was rocking an all-pink ensemble during a practice round at Valhalla ahead of the US PGA Championship recently, and a photo of the outfit made its way onto the PGA Tour’s X account.
Never one to shy away from a bit of online controversy, Pepperell responded with a brutal five-word critique of the outfit.

Despite Pepperell’s clear disapproval of the outfit, the majority of X users appear to absolutely love Day’s setup.
Fans from around the world sounded off in the replies, claiming Day’s fit was “Peak golf swag”.
