Despite being a genius and a talented golfer on the course, it seems as if Charlie Woods isn’t much different from the rest of us when it comes to getting scolded by his parents. What’s more, his father had much to say when it came to his golfer son and his use of the cell phone.
Commenting on the same, Mr. T expressed his dislike of the “fact that he stares at his phone all the time” while referring to the 14-year-old’s obsession. Adding on, the pro mentioned how “most kids don’t look up anymore” as he shared the problem as “one of the things that… all parents struggle with.”
Continuing with his confession, the Hall of Famer divulged how the constant “looking down” of Charlie Woods despite the many beautiful things around him, never fails to “drive me(sic) nuts at times.” However, the 15X major champ was also aware of how that’s the way things are as he admitted, “That’s how people view life.”
The duo made their first appearance together at the 2020 PNC Championship. And, as they gear up to grace the greens again, Woods made sure to convey his admiration for the kid as he pointed out the impressive nature of the development his son underwent as a golfer and he said, “He’s… maturing in the sense of his golf game, and he’s more willing to learn.”
The 82X PGA Tour champ also expressed his approval of the fact that his kid was able to move back tee markers during the event, teeing from farther back at 6,578 yards. Well, after all that the young prodigy has displayed, it makes sense when the legend himself conveys his acceptance of the kid’s growth. Well, who wouldn’t be proud of their son developing big in the game of golf?
