WNBA veteran Diana Taurasi has received backlash as of late after throwing subtle jabs at the 2024 WNBA draft. There were a couple of prospects like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese who were already deemed stars in the league.
Taurasi and her teammate Brittney Griner think that it is too early to tell if these rookies will be successful in the league.
Although she doubts that they can come in and make an immediate impact, she recently spoke on the influence both of them have been able to make on women’s basketball
“What they’ve been able to do is truly amazing…Anyone that loves the WNBA – we want that momentum to carry on,” said Taurasi, per Eliav Gabay on X.

These two young phenoms may have some struggles adjusting to the professional game, but they’re too talented to be taken out of the game completely.
