On Sunday, Pennsylvania Senate candidate David McCormick posted pictures of him attending a Philadelphia Eagles tailgate, and he confusingly cheered on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the same post.
“Fun tailgate in Philly today,” the post reads. “Excited to watch the Steelers throttle the Raiders.”

It’s unclear why McCormick was cheering on the Steelers while attending a tailgate in Philadelphia and taking pictures with people in Eagles jerseys, especially when the Steelers were playing 2,400 miles away in Las Vegas on Sunday.
McCormick’s campaign did not immediately respond to an email request for comment to clarify what he meant by the post.
Since again joining the Pennsylvania Senate race for the second time in two cycles, McCormick has caught flack for his residency. The candidate owns property in several states and rents out a $16 million mansion in Connecticut’s Gold Coast. When pressed about the home, McCormick said he spends a lot of time in Connecticut to be “a good dad.”
McCormick has also been found to have invested heavily in Chinese companies, resulting in Pennsylvania jobs getting outsourced. McCormick’s opponent, Sen. Bob Casey (D), attacked him on this issue during a debate on Oct. 4, where the Republican candidate defended his past because a lot of goods sold in America are from China.
“The bottom line is 30% of everything you have in your home if you’re watching tonight is made in China,” McCormick said. “Bridgewater invested 3% in China.”

McCormick and Casey are scheduled to have one more debate on Tuesday night. Casey has consistently led McCormick in the polls. A recent poll from The New York Times/Sienna College has Casey ahead by four percentage points.
