College football is a sport that keeps you on your toes as Texas ends up losing recruits from its 2024 recruiting class and adding significant transfer signings.
Four-star defensive tackle Dandantre Robinson of Orlando, Fla. was supposed to ask Texas to release his National Letter of Intent earlier this week.
This was confirmed on Tuesday, when 247Sports reported that Robinson had released his commitment to the university.
But Robinson seems set on staying in the SEC.

LonghornsCountry.com reported earlier this week that the biggest competition for Robinson is the Florida Gators. The Florida Gators were a strong contender for Robinson’s signature until his arrival. In the end I decided to sign with Texas.
On Friday, Robinson accepted the Gators, calling it the school of his dreams.
“Florida was my dream school and something unexpected happened in Texas, so I wanted to be closer to my family. Robinson told On3. And “It’s a lot easier for my family to come watch me play or whatever else they want to do I’m a mama’s boy, I admit it. It’s good to live near the Dukes. my sister in texas because that’s where I live, if I’m still there, I have some kind of family there. I am a family man and I have improved my life in my country and I am very proud and happy of the decisions I have made.
Losing Davis was a real blow. The Longhorns knew this would happen to them, and this was the first example.
Davis Under By then, TandVondre Sweat and Bryon Muprhy II had emerged as two of the best defensive tackles in the country, and Texas as a whole has one of the best defenses in the country.
In Robinson’s absence, the Longhorns brought in three other players from the class, with names like Alfred Collins and Vernon Broughton ready to take over the starting positions.
But now they’ll face Robinson every time they start SEC play, with Robinson and the Gators coming to Austin on Nov.9
