Angel Reese entered the WNBA with a bang after winning the NCAA Championship with LSU in 2023 and reaching the Final Four in 2024. Among the pros, Reese and his Chicago Sky are on to something. that the novice is not used to: losing.
In Sunday’s highly anticipated rematch against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever, Reese and the Sky suffered their fourth straight loss and fell to 4-9 on the campaign.
Reese couldn’t help but be disappointed by their recent failure. They started strong and were one of the better teams after the first three games of the season at 2-1, but now they are bottom of the league.
Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese (5) celebrates with head coach Teresa Weatherspoon during the game against the Dallas Wings on May 15 at College Park Center.
Speaking to reporters after the 91-83 loss to the Heat, Reese admitted that all the losses were really “tough.” However, he emphasized that instead of crying about it, he is trying to focus on finding a solution to their problems.
“I mean it’s tough. I’m not used to losing like this. But [I can either] be angry about it, sad about it or get up and think about where I can be better before the next game,” Reese shared, via ClutchPoint’s Chris Smith.
Angel Reese had another strong 11 points and 13 rebounds.
However, this was not enough to stop the duo of Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston, who collected 42 points, 22 rebounds and 14 assists.
Hopefully Heaven can sort things out quickly as Reese said. If not, it could get uglier for them as their slide continues.
