Alpine F1 sells shares to Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and other sportsmen
It’s official, Otro Capital joins the investors of the Alpine Formula 1 team, who will inject 200 million euros ($211.5m) for its international development.
The consortium is backed by multiple sportsmen such as Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Juan Mata, Rory McIlroy, Anthony Joshua and Roger Ehrenberg, will be in charge of venturing into F1.
The idea of incorporating Otro Capital is to catapult the Renault Group brand to promote its name worldwide, whether in media, sponsorship, ticket sales,
hospitality, commercial rights management, merchandising and more.
With this, this new consortium joins
Alpine F1’s other investors, which include RedBird Capital Partners,
Maximium Effort Investments, Huntsman Family and Main Street Advisors.
Patrick Mahomes: Quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, two-time NFL MVP and two-time Super Bowl MVP.
Travis Kelce: Kansas City Chiefs tight end, eight consecutive NFL Pro Bowls and two-time Super Bowl champion.
Thus, Otro Capital is a private investment firm that operates and focuses on sports, media, gaming and entertainment;
and usually puts its money in under-monetized, and often undervalued, assets; and usually work hand in hand with RedBird Capital.
In addition, this consortium has the economic backing of big names, in this case, such as Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Juan Mata.
