He did not disappoint, hitting three home runs in one game for the second time this year, making him the first Yankees player to accomplish the feat in a single season.

The game was a stark reminder of Judge’s exceptional ability and the Yankees’ struggles this season. Last night, Gerrit Cole reminded everyone of his Cy Young Award-worthy season, highlighting how the Yankees wasted their best performance.

Judge managed 35 home runs in just 100 games despite missing significant time with a torn right big toe. Despite only playing a handful of games in June and July, he is currently tied for third in the league in home runs.
