If I don’t have to work in the next two years, I have a choice. – JULES VAN DONGEN BACK ON TOUR
JULES VAN DONGEN MAKES IMMEDIATE RETURN TO THE PRO TOUR OVER A POWERFUL MESSAGE
In the last Q school, five players got their PDC Tour cards back. One of them was the Dutch-American Jules van Dongen.
Van Dongen lost his travel card after the World Darts Championship, but got it back. But Darter, 33, knew things had to change. And I just missed the PDC in the last couple of years. Open a podcast with Two Two and #039; Add in travel and hotel costs and it comes to £2,000 a week. According to my PDC results I didn’t win and I lost. Fortunately, I got some cash from local tournaments in the US. so I was able to pay.
Starting this year, players will receive £1,000 or more for each win in the first round of the Tournament of Champions. And that’s much better. Van Dongen said: equot; But I told some Belgian and Dutch players that even if they are not in the top 50, they still have to work for a living.
So if I don’t work in the next two years, I have a choice. It is easy to say that the top 16 players can make money playing darts, but this is not true for all travel card holders. Another option for Van Dongen is to find a sponsor, but it will never be obvious he says. Especially for mid-size cars like mine, the sponsors are not excited.
