Former Florida State running back Rodney Hill has officially transferred to Miami.
In January of 2022, Hill enrolled at FSU and saw some significant game time in his first two seasons for the Seminoles. Almost two years later, he initially elected to transfer to FAMU but reentered the portal when head coach Willie Simmons decided to join Manny Diaz as the running backs coach at Duke.
With the āNoles, Hill appeared in a total of 16 games. In 2023, the former FSU running back saw action in 12 of Florida Stateās 13 games. He had 50 rushing attempts for 190 yards (3.8 yards a carry) and a touchdown. He also had five catches for 83 yards (16.6 yards per reception).
Matt Shodell ofĀ CaneSport.comĀ has reported that Hill will be a preferred walk-on for the Hurricanes.
He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Upon leavingĀ FSU, Hill thanked those in the football program for his time in Tallahassee.

Hillās departure comes at a time in which the Garnet and Gold have secured multiple running back transfers in the portal.
This includes Roydell Williams from Alabama who appeared in 45 games for the Crimson Tide, rushing 234 times for 1,165 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Seminoles also addedĀ Jaylin LucasĀ from Indiana. He brings 875 total scrimmage yards and six scores with him. He will also be a threat on special teams.
