NCAAOver thousands in valuables stolen from Colorado’s locker room following UCLA game

Last weekend, the Colorado Buffaloes got their locker room items stolen at the Rose Bowl during their game against UCLA. Coach Deion Sanders spoke to the media after what happened to announce the news. On Tuesday evening, Sanders spoke to reporters again and called on two potentially responsible parties to reimburse what his players lost. One of the institutions he wants to do something about what happened, he also referred to ‘The Granddaddy’ and made it clear they were the main responsbiles for what happened. What Sanders said certainly made an impact online, especially amongst Colorado Buffaloes fans.

Here’s what Coach Prime said: “Our kids got robbed during the game last week, I think that’s a travesty. I would expect the NCAA to do something about that. These are college kids. I’m pretty sure they don’t think about insurance at this point in their life. We’ve talked about NIL, given them financial planners and given them the resources for that. But the insurance part of it, we slipped. We didn’t really educate them on that. I know the kids will be forthright in what was stolen and some of our staff members as well. All of that stuff should be replaced. This is the Rose Bowl, they say its the Grandaddy Of Them All, right? I’m sure granddaddy has some money. Grandpa should have some money to give these kids. I’m gonna have a list made out from these men, and they’re gonna be truthful about what they lost, so we can try to get that back for them. They probably won’t be able to get their items back, but we should be able to reimburse them.”

After what Deion Sanders said to the media, a reaction from either UCLA or the NCAA would be expected. Multiple news outlets reached out to both institutions and they both confirmed that the Pasadena Police Department are the ones handling this investigation. After a report was filed to the police, they also confirmed that the Rose Bowl officials and the University of Colorado are involved with the investigation. Only time will determine the steps that the NCAA will take in order to help players get their valuables back or get reimbursed. But first, the investigation needs to conclude.
