Max Verstappen snubbed by Sergio Perez as Toto Wolff ‘digs out’ rival on WhatsApp
Max Verstappen and Toto Wolff feature in today’s Formula One headlines.
Max Verstappen is back in control of the World Drivers’ Championship after a controversial ending to the United States Grand Prix. Lando Norris’ five-second penalty for an illegal overtake of the Red Bull star means Verstappen is now 57 points ahead of his McLaren rival in the Formula One leaderboard.
Verstappen has struggled for consistency in the second half of the season but now seems set to win his fourth consecutive title, with only five races remaining in 2024.
Attention now turns to the Mexican Grand Prix where Verstappen will hope to extend his lead over Norris. He may even hope for more help from team-mate Sergio Perez, who will want to perform well on home soil.
