Simone Biles Responds To Those Saying She Was Robbed Of A 4th Gold After Failed Inquiry Attempt.
Simone Biles was one of the top US performers this past summer at the Paris Olympics, bringing home three gold medals. Fans believe it should’ve been four after seeing a recent episode of the Simone Biles Rising documentary on Netflix.
In a clip showing an inside look at the Team USA sidelines after the floor exercise, you can hear comments made about a potential inquiry for Biles’ score.
That inquiry was never submitted.
Biles wound up placing second behind Rebeca Andrade of Brazil to earn silver. Would she have been bumped to gold with a second look?
We’ll never know!
After seeing the US perspective of those final floor routine moments, many immediately questioned the results. Simone Biles was not one of those critics, and she shared her opinion of the scores on X.
Honestly not a big deal for me,” she said in response to a follower’s frustration. “Rebeca had a better floor anyways. Upsetting how it wasn’t processed but I’m not mad at the results.”
She ended by saying, “BUT JUSTICE FOR JORDAN, ya hear me!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
While drama surrounding Biles has now come to light, it was teammate Jordan Chiles who made headlines soon after the event’s end. Team USA did put an inquiry in on her 4th-place score, which later bumped her to bronze.
Soon after receiving that medal, though, it was revoked and given back to Romania’s Ana Barbosu.
Chiles has since taken her case to court where she hopes to be re-awarded a third-place finish.
Simone Biles has no issue with her silver medal standing, even with an inquiry failing to get submitted. She says that Rebeca Andrade was better that day!
That doesn’t mean she’s not upset with the final result, and she’s not going to stop voicing her support following her teammate’s supposed slight!
