This weekend is the Goodwood Festival of Speed, an annual event motorsports fans look forward to on the Formula 1 calendar.
After a triple European stop in Barcelona, Austria and Silverstone, FOS now hosts F1’s biggest names alongside top teams and drivers. F1
Red Bull Racing – Celebration of Success
This year, among the most prominent names in F1, Max Verstappen will play an important role in celebrating the legacy of the Red Bull Culture Racing team.

Former drivers and current scientists David Coulthard and Mark Webber are both behind the wheel of an F1 car, as well as half of the first pair of Red Bull, Coulthard’s 2005 teammate Christian Klie. Patrick Friesacher, the team’s longest-serving driver, will also appear at the festival.

What other F1 characters will appear?
Williams is represented by both current F1 drivers, Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant, as well as F1 Academy driver Lia Block. All three will be behind the wheel of Keke Rosberg’s 1982 world champion Williams FW08 to race up the hill with team principal James Vowles. Former McLaren driver Juan Pablo Montoya will return to the 2024 Goodwood F1 cockpit, this time in the Williams FW26. Sky F1 presenter Karun Chandhok will no doubt be busy at FOS, which aims to test different models for both car and F1 fans.
Alpine will also bring three Academy controllers to FOS. Their F1 co-driver Jack Doohan, F2 driver Kush Maini and F3 driver Sophie Floersch. Aston Martin will bring the supercars to the party on Friday 12 July with current F1 driver and two-time world champion Fernando Alonso behind the wheel of the new Aston Martin Valiant – again a world first during the festival. McLaren’s Goodwood memorial service
The Woking-based outfit also lined up a star-studded line-up to pay tribute to F1 legend Ayrton Senna, who tragically lost his life at an old age. 30 years ago.
Ikon’s nephew and former F1 driver Bruno Senna will drive the 1991 championship-winning MP4/6 at the festival to celebrate his uncle’s legacy. He will be joined by Emerson Fittipaldi, who returns behind the wheel of his McLaren M23 half a century after driving it to the top of the 1974 Drivers’ and Manufacturers’ Championship..
