Collin Morikawa calls out Tiger Woods
Pro golfer Collin Morikawa has done something we rarely ever see: He called out Tiger Woods.
We all know that Woods has struggled recently with his health, especially after his last accident. The accident was so bad that Woods could barely get around at first. He still refused to use a golf cart when playing, despite his struggles, which is why Morikawa spoke up.
He says Woods should push aside his ego and ride in a golf cart.
Morikawa was asked at his press conference ahead of The Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village in Ohio this week whether he thought Woods was letting his pride get in the way of making the right decision concerning his health.
“Yeah, but his ego is pretty big, as is all of ours,” the two-time major champion replied. “I think he wants to keep doing it until he can’t and maybe there’s something about a golf cart that ain’t it [for him]. I’d be taking a golf cart if they allowed me.”
Despite his struggles, Woods doesn’t want to see himself as a 48-year-old at the end of his career, but as the Tiger he was 10 years ago. However, anyone who has watched him play recently will tell you that those days are pretty much over.
