I
have two years left in my degree and I will enter my name on the transfer portal as a graduate transfer. Congratulations to UGA and the Go Dawgs.

Hicks is from Georgia and is in his junior season, but hasn’t seen the field since arriving on campus.
I
think Hicks is waiting to see how spring training goes before entering the portal, and he may see that his playing time is limited and decides to enter the portal.

The
Spring Portal is different from the Winter Portal and in the SEC, once you enter the Spring Portal, you cannot transfer and play for a new SEC team at this time. You can still play and transfer to an SEC school during the winter, but you can’t transfer from an SEC school to an SEC school once the spring rolls around.
Hicks
can leave the SEC if he doesn’t want to stay, but it won’t be in a Bulldogs jersey, so I think he’ll go to a smaller school and see the field.
