FLORIDA STATE SEMINOLES
Recruiting never slows down in college football. With Florida State working on wrapping up the final additions to its 2024 class, the focus is already shifting to the next cycle. The Seminoles will be looking to bring another top-10 class to Tallahassee and they have a good chance with some of the top rising seniors in the country holding heavy interest in the program.
Over the weekend, four-star wide receiver Thomas Blackshear announced his top three. As the offseason begins, Blackshear will be focusing on Florida State, Georgia, and Tennessee.
Blackshear was at Florida State last year for a Junior Day and he returned over the summer for the Seminole Showcase. He ultimately picked up an offer from the program in August. Blackshear visited Georgia in September before making another trip earlier this month. He was at Tennessee during the season for a gameday visit.
The Georgia native was previously a teammate of current FSU quarterback Luke Kromenhoek at Benedictine High School. Outside of his success on the gridiron, Blackshear also starred on the track as he recorded an 11.07-second 100-meter dash.
Blackshear caught 27 passes for 551 yards and five touchdowns while rushing four times for 39 times as a junior for Calvary Day High School. He helped guide the Cavaliers to a state semi-final appearance before falling to eventual champion, Cedar Grove High School.
