A new F1 contract for Oliver Bearman has opened up a future dream career.
Bearman was recently confirmed as a driver on the grid for 2025, replacing Nico Hulkenberg at Haas on a multi-year deal.
The 19-year-old impressed on his F1 debut at the Saudi Arabia GP earlier this year, replacing Carlos Sainz at Ferrari who was suffering from appendicitis.
Seventh place was enough for Haas – who is strongly linked with Ferrari – to allow the Briton at least six practice sessions in 2024, the next of which will be this weekend’s British GP.
Bearman signs contract with Haas
Haas announced before the 19-year-old’s domestic racing debut that Bearman will drive with the team in 2025 after Hulkenberg leaves for Sauber.
It remains to be seen who will be Bearman’s teammate in Haasi, and also the future of Kevin Magnussen is up in the air. Now, some years on, Bearman has expressed his desire to race with Ferrari, following in the footsteps of Britain’s greatest ever F1 driver Hamilton, who will wear red from 2025 as he bids for a record eighth world championship. “I think Ferrari is one of the most iconic brands in the world and of course in racing and F1, so first of all that I made my debut with Ferrari, it didn’t happen for a long time and to be the youngest Ferrari driver was something very special for me,” said For Sky Sports’ Craig Slater.
“Of course I want to win the world title and to do that with Ferrari is my dream.“.
