Frank Bensel Jr. makes back-to-back aces at U.S. Senior Open

   Frank Bensel Jr. made history Friday morning at the US Senior Open by carding an Ace Club in the second round at Newport Country.
Bensel carded a hole-in-one at the par-3 fourth of 184 before stepping up to the par-3 fifth and hitting another ace from 203 yards.

Bensel, whose career spanned club pros in New York and Florida, opened with a 5-over 75. Despite two holes on Friday, he was 1 over on the first nine. . holes
The Jupiter, Florida native has played in six PGA TOUR events in his career, including the 2009 US Open at Oakmont and this year’s 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla, where he missed out.
The last time someone hit two aces on TOUR was Brian Harman at Plainfield Country Club in 2015..
